His PhD project, ‘Negotiating Identity and Belonging in Nyamnjoh’s Novels: An Ethno-postcolonial Approach’ investigates how ethnographic fiction as a genre has been taken up and adopted to address the question of identity and belonging in Postcolonial literature. The struggle for emancipation of the marginalized minorities as well as both internal and external mobilities are problematized to reveal the role of linguistic diversity in the quest for cultural identity.
